As the pandemic hit all of us globally and all of us were intrusive about intimate weddings, my best friend also tied the knot recently amidst all the chaos in a beautiful yet cozy wedding. She looked stunning in the traditional red banarasi saree with gold, zari and silver handwork on it which she picked up from her mom’s closet. I think, that was the first time when I really fell in love with saree as an outfit and realized that even I want to wear a traditional red banarasi saree for my wedding.

My Mom once told me, Hindu brides usually wear a traditional red saree on the auspicious day of their wedding as red color replicates the inward strength of every Indian woman. Red color signifies opulence and richness.
